The term prisca sapienta means pure or pristine knowledge and is what Isaac Newton was most devoted to in his later years. He was looking for a way to mesh time and space with references in the Bible. Yes, he was one of many great scientific minds that believed in God. Albert Einstein was another. But Newton believed the key to it all was in the Book of Daniel; specifically the writing on the wall right before the fall of Babylon. If indeed the words “MINA, MINA, TEKEL, UPARSIN” could be converted to Chaldean units of measure, then the perfect completion of payment would total 2520. In looking for the prisca sapienta, he attempted to uncover a universal mathematics that would unravel all of the mysteries of prophecy. And let’s face it, learning what the future holds is irresistible to the foresight challenged human. Unfortunately, he had to work with the limitations of the time prior to flight. So his task was a daunting one. The late David Flynn, author of Temple at the Center of Time, picked up where Newton left off. Using modern measuring devices, he was able to calculate distances between the Temple Mount and various world landmarks that relate to the years in which they had a significant role in world history and in the plight of the Jewish people. He also looks at the relationship between the measurements of the Arc of the Covenant and the measurements of the earth and moon, along with the perfection and completion represented in the numbers 2520 and 33 (1/3). Some of those highlights are below. Isaiah 28:17, “Judgment will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet.” Nautical Miles: Nautical miles are based on the ratio of degrees in a circle to minutes in an hour. Each degree of the earth is 60 nautical miles. (Nautical - navigation - navy - Noah - Ark - “Ark mile”) 1 nautical mile = 6076.12 ft. The distance shows the completion of God’s plan. But further research reveals the Anglo-Portuguese Treaty of 1373, between England and Portugal (3). This pact of mutual cooperation actually went back to 1294 and was renewed in 1373. The alliance between the two countries can be traced back to the Second Crusade (3). What caught my attention was the reaffirmation of a covenant. Possibly the oldest still standing today. Could the US have something to do with the covenant of death and hell? Could the so called Peace Treaty of the antichrist just be a reaffirmation of the Abrahamic Covenant? And could the covenant of death and hell be a separate thing altogether? The US is certainly working hard to bring about a two-state solution between the Israelis and Palestinians when God’s covenant is with the Jews alone. Perhaps something we all need to be praying about. Towards the end of the book, Mr. Flynn points out the two births of Rome; the original empire, 753 B.C., and the Holy Roman Empire, 753 A.D. Newton believed that Christ had to return by 2060, based on the year 800 A.D. when Charlemagne was crowned. Then he added the 1260 count to the return of Christ. By using that count and the actual established date, Flynn calculated the year 2013 as a year of significance. 2013 did mark the year of a new Pope, and by St. Malachy’s predictions, he should be the final one. Taking that a step further, we can once again go on either side and look at significant world events. In 752 A.D. we see a successful Muslim assault on Sardinia. In 2014, we see the rampage of ISIS. In 751 A.D., we see the battle of Talas, which allowed the Muslim takeover to influence Chinese culture for over 1300 years. This was led by the Persian Governor of Khorasan along with the Samarkand general (2). That brings us to 2015. We are staring at two prophetic wars in the making: Psalm 83 and God / Magog.
