While no one can be 100% certain of the original Breastplate, the following is my take on the stones based on the

Hebrew and Greek translations, the encampment of the tribes, the zodiac symbol for the tribes, and the relation of

that to the twelve foundations (as read from right to left).

It is interesting to note that missing from the covering of Lucifer are the three stones: amber, sardonyx, and

amethyst (Zebulun, Issachar, Judah).  Protection, sacrifice and royalty are all aspects of God that would be missing

from his highest created being even in his pre-fall state.

* Due to the original meaning, I do not believe that the emerald is the correct translation; but rather the beryl or aquamarine.
