As the Days of Noah Were ...
Days of Noah
Then…
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus was asked what would be the signs of His (2nd) coming, and
of the end of the age. With all of the historical periods He could have mentioned, He chose the
Days of Noah. So the question then becomes, what was unique to Noah’s time? Most point to a
Godless civilization, full of violence and corruption. Some point to the “eating and drinking and
giving in marriage”, which indicates life as usual or a complete unawareness. But a few actually
take a much closer look at early man and his surroundings. This is my comparison of then and now,
along with reference recommendations to research done by those I consider to be the experts in the
field.
According to research done by the Creation Evidence Museum of Texas
http://www.creationevidence.org, the pre-flood atmosphere was much heavier (oxygen rich) than
afterwards. That would account for much larger creatures, as well as longer life spans and quicker
healing. The air and water would have been free of the toxins of today, and it is understood from
the Bible that it never rained. Rather, there was a canopy of water in the atmosphere and a mist of
water vapor from under the earth. That canopy would have provided tremendous protection from
the sun’s UVA and UVB rays. A break in the canopy above would have flooded the oceans, thus
making a world-wide flood very probable. But the question that still remains is, why?
According to the Book of Genesis, during the days of Jarod, the
sons of Elohim (angels) descended on Mount Hermon. They were to
teach the human race Godly wisdom; but something went wrong.
The Bible says, “The sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they
were beautiful, and they took wives for themselves all of whom they
chose.” Genesis 6:2 Personally, given there is no mention in the
Bible of female angels of any kind, I have to wonder if this was the
first time they saw females. Now I am aware of the Church’s
tradition that says the sons of Elohim were the sons of Seth, and the
daughters of men were the daughters of Cain. But really, when we try
to rethink or rationalize God, we always end up creating more
questions than we answer. I mean, what was wrong with the
daughters of Seth? Were they the poster children for Krispy Kreme?
I am a believer in the statement, “God means what He says and says
what He means.” Anyway, from there, it seems there was some kind
of technology for women swap. (1)
Contrary to popular belief, the pre-flood era was technologically quite advanced. There is a
lot of evidence to this effect, from mathematically precise structures, to hieroglyphics of flight (2).
And this doesn’t even touch on the artifacts that have been found under the oceans and kept out of
the public limelight. One year a desert, the next a city. From sticks and rocks to metal tools and
weapons. The pre-flood world advanced very rapidly. But this advancement came with a very high
price.
“There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God
came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them..” Genesis 6:4 During the creation,
God was very clear that everything should reproduce according to its own kind. Therefore, this
angelic-human hybrid wasn’t good. Not only were they huge (Goliath was of the smaller group
from the 2nd incursion) but apparently lacking conscience. The Bible also says that Noah found
favor with God and was pure in his generations. Now people wouldn’t have understood the term
DNA thousands of years ago, but what else could God have meant?
“Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent
of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Genesis 6:5 The mercy of God is the central
theme throughout both the Old and New Testaments. It is what salvation is all about. But
something went so horribly wrong that mercy was no longer an option. I think to truly understand
this, we have to take a closer look at what it means to be created in the image of God.
If mankind caries the image of God, then there must be something unique to us that no other
created being has. Now we don’t all look alike, or sound alike, or even think alike. But human
DNA is unique only to humans and to all humans. Of course there are variations within, but that’s
not the point. Somewhere in the human soul or conscience, is the ability to feel remorse; to look
outside ourselves and feel compassion. If this ability to repent is indeed encoded in our genes, then
to tamper with that could risk our very salvation. If Noah and his family were the only uncorrupted
DNA left, then God wouldn’t have had any other choice than to wipe everything out and start over.
Christ took a human body and shed human blood. God had to keep that option open at all costs and
ensure that the bloodline of the Messiah stayed completely human. Additionally, at that time there
were animal hybrids or chimeras which beckon us to look even deeper into the conception and
spirits of all created beings.
Finally, what about the timing? It seems somewhat insignificant in the scope of things to
hold off a worldwide flood so that Noah could bury his grandfather, Methuselah. But was it? Or
was it prophetic? Methuselah’s name means “his death brings”. We can conclude that the names
of all the Patriarchs have meaning (see Patriarchs Names) and that Methuselah was a signal for the
flood. Methuselah was 969 years old when he died; the longest lived human being. After all, no
one could be allowed to live to 1000, because God had said that “in the day that you eat of it (the
forbidden fruit) you will surely die”. Methuselah was quite favored and the firstborn of Enoch, who
walked with God. So the last question for our discussion is, do we have a modern day Methuselah?
Now…
The biggest mystery of our day is that of the extra-terrestrials. If they come from other
worlds, why don’t we see them coming? Maybe in the past we could say we didn’t have the
technology, but not now. How can they come and go so quickly? How is it that they seem to bend
our laws of physics? Even the most secular minds of the times have to admit they seem a lot more
like extra dimensional than terrestrial. And why do they come these vast distances only to abduct
and terrorize? Why not do something useful? Why not ask for help? If they are so advanced, why
don’t they have any regard for life? We’ve all seen the mutilated animals. No, it seems their only
interest is to engage us against our will into their breeding program. Now where have we seen this
before?
With every generation, man considers himself the most
advanced. We are simply too intelligent now to fall for any
mythological gods like in the past. We have moved on to a more
rational and scientific understanding of the universe. We
couldn’t be fooled by any fallen angels even if they did exist.
Oh, really? What if they were new and improved? We all like
that. We camp out on the sidewalks, in the cold, to get that. If
these beings are intelligent enough to move in and out of our
dimension, wouldn’t they have a better understanding of physics?
Especially the sub-atomic? (6) And wouldn’t they also have a
good understanding of humans? And how we love to hear how intelligent we’ve become? Isn’t it
odd that with this wealth of knowledge they possess, their main message is how everyone can
become like a god? Salvation isn’t necessary. And the new agers never question it?
The Bible tells us to test the spirits. If they deny that Christ has come in the flesh (or for
Jewish believers will come) then they are not of God. Why can’t we go with that? The Bible is a
mathematical marvel (see prisca sapienta) that no human could have written. But on we go, with
our quest for the perfected human. The tolerant human. The anything goes human. Most
importantly, the human that doesn’t need God. Colleges and research facilities are receiving huge
sums of taxpayers’ money to look into transhumanism, cloning, and the altering of DNA. Then
there’s ¾ of a million to determine how much human DNA is required to be afforded “human
rights”. Not only did our government and many others cover up decades of alien abductions, but
are covering right now for all kinds of animal-chimera research. (3)
The problem of today is the problem of old. We simply don’t know everything. We don’t
have divine knowledge. We have only a fair understanding of the body. We have even less of an
understanding of the mind. But that doesn’t stop the medical community from creating a generation
of mood altered individuals that need a pill to control every emotion they possess. Excuses for not
doing homework sound something like, “I forgot my meds and freaked out and got locked up and
they took my iPod and laptop so I couldn’t notify you”. Whatever happened to “the dog ate it”?
But I digress. The point is, even if limited, we have some understanding of mind and body. But the
medical community has absolutely no understanding of the spirit nor do many of them even
acknowledge it exists. Without that understanding, we have no way of knowing what happens
when you mix DNA. Upon conception, do you get the spirit of a monkey or a goat? A dog or a
cat? Or perhaps even more ominous, a void where a spirit should be. (3)
We know by nature that demons need bodies to inhabit. And we certainly know that evil ran
rampant in the Days of Noah. UFO activity has increased exponentially since the last world war
(remember Roswell) and all we have to do today is turn on the evening news to see the slaughter of
people, especially Christians, all over the world. Could this shedding of innocent blood be the key
to breaking down the dimensional walls so to speak? If these demons exist, wouldn’t they already
know that?
Lest it seem that I am being unduly unfair to the medical community, I will turn my attention
to the scientific one. CERN is looking to re-create the big bang. In fact, they are quite gung ho to
find what is labeled the God particle. Who was it that said, “…I will be like the Most High”? Isaiah
14:14 If I recall correctly, that didn’t end well. As bad as it would be to spend enough money to
feed the 3rd world for many generations and accomplish nothing, I think it could be even worse if
they are successful. Do we have any idea what we could be breaking down? Or for that matter,
unleashing? Revelation 9 speaks of a time in the Tribulation where locusts (symbolic of
judgement) ascend out of the bottomless pit. So we will have a rupture of the earth all the way to
the core? I wonder what could cause that. A man jumped off a 20 story building for the
experience. As he passed the 15th floor, a spectator yelled out, “How’s it going?” to which the man
replied, “So far, so good.”
Ok, my last question from the “Then” section was about Methuselah. As I am known for
doing in conclusions, I am going off into the speculative realm. If it seems that’s where I’ve been
for the past five paragraphs, Google it. I have been quite anchored in the real world and nothing I
have written about is so hidden that it can’t be researched with a little effort. But what was the deal
with Methuselah? And if our current time really is the time Jesus spoke of, then who is our
Methuselah? Is 969 years meaningful or just really old? Well given, “That which has been is what
will be..” Ecclesiastes 1:9, I started to wonder if there was someone 96.9 years old or close to it,
that might have been a very well-known, admired and respected Christian leader. Would Billy
Graham fit the bill? As of this writing (April 2015) he is very frail, but millions are praying for
him. In November, he will be 97.
